Our Facilities, Your HomeZlago leverages the data center infrastructure and network investment of some of the leading data center and network operators worldwide, which allows us to support our customers and partners' needs globally with highly available, redundant, secure and high performance IT solutions at a competitive cost. We operate in 2 facilities in London, which serve our partners UK and European customers. Our US facilities are based in Chicago and Northern Virginia, and our data center partners provide us with a solution that will allow us to easily expand into other data centers as customer needs require. Our infrastructure is built on a totally scalable and modular virtualized basis. Using the grid, we can dynamically provide customers with computing resources as and when needed, at the touch of a button. The grid is made up of technologies from a number of vendors, woven together to bring you an advanced IT hosting infrastructure comparable to that found at the largest and most sophisticated Fortune 500 companies. For our processing and memory engines we use HP, for our storage we use HP EVA Fibre and ISCSI Storage and for our virtualization we use VMware and Parallels, and we use our own proprietary grid management technology.
The grid can also be referred to as 'cloud computing' or 'utility computing.'
Advantages of the grid:-
No upgrade paths - just more resources when you want them -
Near 100% uptime, guaranteed -
Grows with you -
Don't pay for resources you don't use -
Completely scalable, buy resources in 'bursts' for busy periods.
Our facilities are typically designed as belowCommercial Power Two separate power feeds provided. Power supplied from two separate substations. Four transformers at 3,750 KVA each. Four PDUs (power distribution units) in our data room, each having primary and backup. The facility uses one CPS (continuous power supply) that serves our data room (N+1).
Generator Building can operate at 100% connected load on five HiTecs and two standby generators. Six PowerWave 'state-of-the-art' UPS systems continuously generating power for N+1 redundancy. The PowerWave system feeds redundant switchgear providing power to mission critical loads. Two 2-megawatt standby generators serve facility essential loads. N+1 capacity. One 2-megawatt stationary load bank, for bypass testing and duty cycle maintenance.
DC Power System The data room has a 1600 AMP redundant DC battery system.
Diesel Fuel Supply 20,000 gallons on-site. The facility is also on the emergency fuel list.
HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning) 3,350 tons total refrigeration capacity with N+2 redundancy (5 chillers at 670 tons each). Seven 30-ton CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioner) units inside our data room. Five cooling towers Five chilled water pumps Five condenser water pumps Five chemical treatment stations
Fire Suppression Dry pipe, pre-action system enabled by activation of VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Alarm) and / or smoke detectors. Loss of air pressure in the pipes caused by a broken sprinkler head will cause water to discharge only if smoke detection is present. The system is monitored 24x7 by onsite personnel.
